Location Independent Services is part of the Location Independent Network – a network of sites set up by Lea & Jonathan Woodward with the sole aim of helping people become location independent.

But here’s the thing about this site…it wasn’t really in our plan!

We’ve been running a service-based (as opposed to a product-based) business for a few years now and decided that, for the Location Independent project we’d stay away from offering services and focus on offering products – since they’re more affordable for you – and more scalable and provide ongoing, passive income for us.

But the one problem with this is that we’ve found that no matter how good they are, digital products sometimes just aren’t enough. They are only one part of the equation.

And for people in our community to truly become location independent, they sometimes need to be able to take advantage of the expertise and support that professionals can provide…especially in the all-important areas of web design, online branding, business set up and strategy and of course, tax & financial matters.

There’s a time and a place for Doing-It-Yourself and bootstrapping but there also comes a time when more professional support is needed. That’s what our services are designed to provide.

Who We Are

Lea Woodward

Lea is the founder of LocationIndependent.com and and is well-known in many communities as the expert on a location independent lifestyle and running a business on the move.

Since leaving the UK in 2007, she has created a number of successful location independent businesses and, together with Jonathan, run them from places such as Panama, Buenos Aires, Grenada, South Africa and Thailand. Her background as a global management consultant combined with her experience of running multiple small businesses while on the road enables her to give a unique perspective on business, entrepreneurship and life!

Jonathan Woodward

Jonathan is a Graphic Design pro with 12 years experience under his belt and is also the mastermind behind the Location Independent branding. As an illustrator, graphic designer and web designer, he brings technical, creative and marketing know-how to the table.

Having run a number of small businesses on the road with Lea since becoming location independent in 2007, Jonathan has a wealth of knowledge about branding, design and image marketing.
