Questions & Answers
What is the difference between a custom logo & a custom banner?
A logo is a marque which can contain a custom-created graphical element along with text (it doesn’t always have to contain a graphical element and may just be made from a custom font). A logo is created completely from scratch to your specifications.
In contrast, we’ll use an existing graphic (your own logo, a photo or other image which you have the right to use) to create your custom banner – and we’ll add text to this, in a way which looks pretty. We won’t however create any custom graphical elements for use within your banner which might be otherwise classed as a logo.
What do the custom web buttons include?
The web buttons include a custom RSS subscribe button, a custom Email subscribe button and 3 other buttons of your choice. These could include 125×125 buttons to promote your own products, affiliate buttons or other buttons to be used as navigational elements on your site.
What does the custom web design include? Can you also build/develop my website for me?
The custom web design includes the design of a home page, one sample content page and a blog page (you don’t have to have all 3 if you don’t need them but the price will remain the same whether you do or not).
Yes, we can also set up and build your website for you, if you require. We work using Wordpress and the Headway theme (that’s an affiliate link because we love the theme and are happy to recommend it to *everyone*). Please contact us for prices and be sure to include the following:

How come your packages are cheaper than your normal design rates?
Our usual design rates are higher than the packages you’ll see above (about 25% more). The package fees you see above are for active and supportive members of our location independent community only. You know who you are…and if you have to ask, it’s probably not you.
While we’d love to be able to offer these packages to everyone, we still need to earn a living ourselves but we also want to reward people who’ve had the faith & loyalty in us to help us out with our mission here at Location Independent.
What if I’m not part of the Location Independent community? Can I still use your packages?
Unfortunately not at this time – although if we do have slots in our schedule, we may be able to accommodate you. This isn’t a way to get professional design work at a cheap rate – this is a solution for genuine boot-strapping entrepreneurs and aspiring LIPs to get the professional image they need for their location independent business(es).
Do the design packages come with unlimited concepts?
Unfortunately not. In order to keep the prices of the packages affordable and below our usual fees, the number of concepts will be limited to 2. This isn’t usually a problem (we usually nail it first time round, and if not, then always 2nd time round!) – since you do get unlimited tweaks to a concept to get it exactly to your specifications.
What it does mean is that you won’t get unlimited opportunities to go back to the drawing board for a completely new concept. We’re pretty good at asking the right questions to get an accurate brief from you – and, on the rare occasion when extra concepts are required, you can choose to add these for an additional fee.

Jonathan is a Graphic Design professional with 12 years corporate and entrepreneurial experience and a degree in graphic design from one of the UK’s most well-known design universities, under his belt.
